WHOSE MISTAKE IS IT?
A newly admitted university student coming from a very remote village explained to the lecturer why he came very late to attend his first class: I really tried to be on time for this class. But on my way here, and upon turning left on a cross road, I saw a notice: BELOK KIRI. JALAN TERUS. HATI-HATI. As a university student, I had to set good examples and comply with all regulations. I got off my motor cycle, walked pushing the motor cycle, alert with to see signs showing where to get on. But the same sign appeared again and again. What made it long is that I had to frequently left my motorcycle in order to examine possible hazards, such as mud-holes to see whether it is safe enough to pass them, and to remove obstacles from my way, because I had to be careful. His excuse was acceptable.
